Grand Final Host Venue May 2011
The Els Club, Dubai
The Els Club at Dubai Sports City is the first golf course in the
Middle East designed by US Open and Open Champion, Ernie Els.
The course was awarded “Best New International Courses” by Links Magazine in
2008. “The Els Club combines the best of all the great clubs that I have played
worldwide. The golf challenge is second to none. I am really proud of what we have
achieved here. Whether you are an 18 handicap or a scratch golfer, it will be a great
test of golf. This course is something very special. I think you can make a course
challenging for the best players in the world but at the same time enjoyable for the
rest of the world’s golfers. We’ve done that here” Ernie Els 2008
The Course
Laid out in two sets of retuning loops of nine holes within the exclusive “golf course
villa community” of Victory Heights, this 18-hole championship course has been
designed for golfers of every handicap. At 7538 yards with four sets of tees allowing
players a selection of differing lengths from which to play.
The course offers players a challenging round accompanied by all the essential
facilities that extend beyond the immaculate fairways and greens. Set on undulating
slopes of native desert vegetation, it is a links style layout combining traditional and
classic design.
